Volunteer Spotlight

“Volunteers do not necessarily have the time; they have the heart.” – Elizabeth Andrew

Sherri Priest, a dedicated volunteer, is celebrating her two year anniversary with Angel Layettes this month! Sherri specializes in helping families honor thier little angels by creating Keepsake Hearts. Keepsake hearts are made with a piece of the infants layette gown and/or blanket fabric to give families something tangiable to hold on to in remembrance of thier precious baby.

While Sherri enjoys volunteering in our heart room, there are many different opportunities at Angel Layettes! We have needs in many areas such as; cutting, ironing, gluing, packaging, and much more! We are open to volunteers Monday-Thursday from 9-5 pm as well as every 1st Saturday of the month!

When not helping mend hearts at Angel Layettes, you can spot Sherri enjoying the outdoors and spending time with her husband Gary and family. She also is a very active volunteer with many organizations in East Texas such as;Tyler Civic Theatre, Quilts of Valor, and Christian Builders!

We are very thankful for Sherri and her dedication to helping the families we serve!
